Important Notice About Mail Order Sales of Aqua Lung Products and
Warranties
Retailers that offer to sell and ship Aqua Lung life support products by
mail, in response to mail, telephone or internet orders, are NOT
AUTHORIZED AQUA LUNG AMERICA DEALERS. If a consumer purchases Aqua Lung
life support products by mail, telephone order or electronically, they
are purchasing from a non-authorized dealer, and the products will
not be covered by Aqua Lung America’s Warranty. Aqua Lung America
has not authorized any exceptions to its "in-store only" sales policy.
When a consumer buys Aqua Lung life support products from an Authorized
Aqua Lung America Dealer, they are buying from trained professionals who
can instruct them on the proper and safe use of the equipment.

WARNING: It is dangerous for untrained and uncertified persons to
use the equipment covered by these warranties. Therefore, use of these
products by an untrained person renders any and all warranties null and
void. Use of SCUBA equipment by anyone who is not a certified diver, or
receiving training through a recognized certification agency, shall
render void all warranties, expressed or implied.

Registering Your Product(s) With Aqua Lung America
When you purchase a regulator, alternate air source, buoyancy
compensator or dive computer from an Authorized Aqua Lung America
Dealer, you will find a Warranty Registration Card in the box. Please
fill out this card and mail it in within 15 days from the date of
purchase. Ricks Dive 'N Travel Center will provide this service for our
customers.
Warranty Types
30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee
If any Aqua Lung product that you have purchased from an Authorized
Aqualung America Dealer fails to meet your expectations, Aqua Lung
America will replace or exchange the product free of charge within
thirty (30) days of the original purchase. Exchanges must be made
through the same Authorized Dealer for merchandise of lesser or equal
value and will be made only for Aqua Lung equipment. A sales receipt
must accompany the product to be returned. Aqua Lung America makes this
guarantee of satisfaction a part of all product warranties because of
the confidence we have in our products.
30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee Restrictions
30 Day Satisfaction Guarantee does not apply to clothing, wetsuits
and footwear.
Limited Warranty
Aqua Lung America warrants to the original purchaser for a period of
time, specified below for each product, from the date of purchase that
the product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship,
provided that it receives normal use, proper care and prescribed dealer
service subject to the limitations listed below. The limited warranty is
extended only to the original purchaser for purchases made from an
Authorized Aqualung America Dealer and is not transferable. This
warranty is limited to repair or replacement only at the discretion of
Aqua Lung America.
Limitations: Warranty coverage does not extend to damages caused
by improper use, improper maintenance, neglect, unauthorized repairs,
modifications, accidents, fire, casualty or normal wear and aging.
Cosmetic damage(s), such as scratches, nicks and fraying are not covered
under warranty except when the product is new, out of the original
packaging.
This warranty does not extend to equipment used for commercial or
military purposes.
Limited Lifetime Warranty
Coverage on buoyancy compensators, regulators, and alternate air
sources, covers the product throughout its useful life and is
subject to all the conditions of the Limited Warranty and
utilizes the pro-rated replacement policy*.
These limited warranties are extended only to the original purchaser for
products purchased directly from an authorized Aqua Lung America Dealer,
and are not transferable.
These warranties are limited to repair or replacement at the discretion
of Aqua Lung America.
*Product Replacement on a Pro-Rated Basis
Products under the Limited Lifetime Warranty that malfunction
due to material or manufacturer defects that have also had a significant
amount of use will be replaced on a pro-rated basis. Pro-rating will be
determined by a percentage factor based on the condition of the product
and how long the product was used prior to the warranty claim. This can
be useful to evaluate Limited Lifetime Warranty claims since the
warranty period is for the "useful life of the product" and not a set
length of time. The following guidelines should be used in determining
what pro-rated percentage will be used.Note:
This can be a subjective evaluation. Fair and reasonable judgment should
be used.

**Pro-Rating for the Suunto Computer and
Electronic Instrument Five Year Limited Warranty
At Aqua Lung we have recognized a need to
pro-rate replacement computers and electronic instruments after the
previous 2-year warranty has expired. We have implemented this new
policy for our customer's satisfaction since it is sometimes difficult
to evaluate and repair delicate electronic equipment. Similar to the
pro-rating used in the Limited Lifetime Warranty, the following
guidelines should be used to determine what pro-rated percentage to use.

components, and assorted hardware. Factory prescribed annual service
by an authorized Aqua Lung dealer is required.
Not covered:

This warranty does not extend to abrasions, punctures, cuts or tears,
or seam separation caused by chemical attack; including prolonged
exposure to chlorine.

provided that an annual inspection or overhaul is performed in

304 Series stainless steel knives are warranted not to rust or break
(when used properly).

Breakage of the sheath under normal use.
Not Covered:

Rust on knives made of 420 stainless steel. Note: Due to the higher
carbon content, 420 stainless steel knives can develop rust,
especially along serrations and notched line cutters. To lessen this
effect, rinse and clean knife and sheath thoroughly after every use,
let both dry. Rub a small amount of lightweight machine oil on the
blade with a rag. Store in a dry place.

Damage from use other than as a cutting tool, e.g., prying.

ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED
WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE ARE
LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE PERIOD OF TIME, SPECIFIED FOR EACH PRODUCT,
FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE.
Some states in the U.S. and some foreign countries do not allow
limitations on the duration of implied warranties, so this may not apply
to you.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have rights which
will vary from state to state and country to country.
AQUA LUNG AMERICA DISCLAIMS AND EXCLUDES ANY LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. SOME STATES IN THE U.S. AND SOME FOREIGN
COUNTRIES, DO NOT ALLOW EXCLUSIONS OF LIABILITY, SO THIS MAY NOT APPLY
TO YOU.
Making A Warranty Claim
If you are the original owner of an Aqua Lung product that is
determined to be defective in any way, please return it to your local
Authorized Aqua Lung America Dealership. Please provide your dealer with
photocopies of your original sales receipt along with any service
records you may have. If your local dealer determines that you have a
valid warranty issue and they are unable to take care of it in their
place of business, they will send it back to Aqua Lung America for
evaluation.
