There is an assortment of online shopping sites. One positive way to ensure that you are receiving your dive equipment from an authorized dealer, is to call the manufacturer directly. You will then be able to verify who is an authorized dealer for their products. You have little recourse if you have a problem with you equipment down the road.

It is very important for divers to understand that if you do purchase scuba diving equipment from an unauthorized dealer, there are NO warranties. You can also verify this with the manufacturers. Basically, buying from an unauthorized dealer leaves you with no product support which can lead to significant expense and frustrations down the line.

If a warranty problem does become an issue, not only do you have to prove it is warranted, the original purchase receipt will also have to accompany your returned items to prove it was in fact purchased from an authorized dealer. At Rick's, even if you have misplaced or lost your original receipt, we can retrieve the information from our data base so this doesn't happen to you.

For over 30 years, Our motto at Rick's is "Try Before You Buy" which is easy and convenient in our deep indoor heated pool!

We are also familiar with individuals coming in to try on our vast amount of products & knowledge, then going to a discounter to purchase items...only to save a few bucks. Folks there won't be any dive centers to take care of you if you don't patronize your local dive centers period. What are you going to do for air-refills, servicing of your equipment, diver education classes, group dive trips, store activities, a place to hang out with your friends and talk about Scuba Diving? Diving is a social gathering activity with those you like to dive with and to have the opportunity to meet others!

Unauthorized Dealer Warning:
Beware of any retailer that offers to sell and ship our life supporting products by mail, for orders placed by phone or the Internet. These retailers are NOT authorized Aqua Lung Dealers. All authorized Aqua Lung Dealers must execute a Dealer Agreement that does not allow the sale of Aqua Lung products except "in-store." Many Aqua Lung dealers advertise on the Internet, but they are not allowed to deliver our products other than "over-the counter." This is our assurance that you will receive the proper pre-sale, point-of-sale, and post-sale assistance, and that only trained and certified divers will use our products. If you obtain our product from one of these retailers, your warranty is therefore not valid and we cannot offer you the assurances of quality and satisfaction afforded by the Aqua Lung Warranty Program. It is our policy to honor warranties and perform warranty service only on products purchased from an Authorized Sea & Sea USA Dealer . If you purchase from an unauthorized source, our product warranty program will not be valid.

Warning: Unauthorized Dealers

Unfortunately, not every business that advertises itself as selling Dive Rite products is a legitimate Dive Rite dealer. If you purchase what you think are Dive Rite products from other than authorized dealers, there is no way we can guarantee:

• That the items you are spending your good money on have not been previously used…

• That something other than Dive Rite parts have been substituted for the original…

• That what you are getting is evenly remotely a Dive Rite product! ("Bait and switch" is a common tactic among shady retailers.)

It's important you understand that, for these reasons, Dive Rite cannot provide warranty coverage for items purchased from other than authorized dealers. To help you avoid such purchases, we maintain a list of businesses we are aware of that are not authorized Dive Rite dealers, even though they may advertise our products.

NON AUTHORIZED DIVE RITE DEALERS are featuring Dive Rite products and copyright protected images on their web sites and/or catalogs without our consent, they claim to have acquired our products from authorized Dive Rite dealers--third party sales are not authorized and are not eligible for Dive Rite warranty protection.

BEWARE OF PURCHASING DIVE RITE PRODUCTS ON EBAY. We do not authorize any dealers to sell Dive Rite products on eBay and third party sales are not authorized therefore are not eligible for Dive Rite warranty protection. The product could be a second or factory defect. There is no manufacturers warranty on products purchased via eBay.
