Hey kids, have you ever wondered what it would be like to swim with sea turtles or dolphins by your side? Well, here at Rick's we do just that in many warm tropical locations throughout the Caribbean just about every month. Virtually any child who is in good health, likes to read, reasonably fit, and between 10 and 14 years old can complete the requirements to become a Jr. Open Water diver. It's safe, fun & healthy.  While you might not be able to dolphins everyday, it sure is something you can brag about to you classmates & buddies!

If you love the water and know how to swim, you surely want to consider becoming a certified Jr. Scuba Diver after you turn 10 years old. Gliding effortlessly thru the warm tropical waters with all sorts of fish by you side....Now that's what I'm talking about. You have just discovered the possibilities of scuba diving into the deep blue sea or some of our clear lakes and streams right here in Arkansas. This is your chance to learn all about the cool fish and living organisms all around you, WOW, and yes, even scuba diving right here in Arkansas is also a blast! Becoming a certified PADI Jr. Open Water Diver is one of your first steps and the way for you to explore all that's in the oceans, lakes, rivers and streams. The beautiful Buffalo River is one such area that we frequent during the Summer months. Just think of all the bragging rights you will have in school. Now....you can start exploring everything the underwater world has to offer, as long as you’re accompanied by another certified diver who is of legal age (like your parents or maybe even your favorite scuba instructor). When you turn 15 years old (the legal diving age), you can upgrade your Jr. certification to the PADI Open Water Diver certification, so what are you waiting for?

Now all you have to do is let your parents know that you want to LEARN TO SCUBA DIVE (get them to pay for it, of course) and have them contact one of the friendly staff members at Rick's Dive 'N Travel Center in North Little Rock. We will gladly set up an appointment to give you and your parents a tour of our award winning Diver Training Center. We'll be waiting to hear from YOU and get ready to take a dive!
