We usually won't win that honor. It is difficult to be the "least expensive", when you have the MOST to offer. There is more to learning to scuba dive than just "enrolling in a scuba class" AND all dive courses are NOT created equal. Even some of OUR current staff members found this out.... the hard way... somewhere else. At Rick's, scuba diving is a lifestyle that can offer many years of excitement and enjoyment for the whole family. ponder! We have designed our diving programs to be educational, yet fun & informative. Our educational team of PADI Instructors has over 100 years of combined diving experience something very few can claim. Utilizing our custom indoor heated deep pool on premises, (we're not talking about a 2' or 3' lap pool like some use) We make sure each and every one of our student divers get the special skills attention they deserve. (see our Guest Book for comments from many of our former customers & students). Our onsite pool also allows our students the opportunity to practice their dive skills, try new dive equipment, refresh your memory before a dive vacation or just come by to "take a dive", all at no charge. We know having our classrooms and pool on premises makes learning to scuba dive more convenient & fun (no lugging your gear back and forth to a cold outdoor pool somewhere on the other side of town) Rick's provides each student with a complete well maintained scuba system and assures each person a proper fit (no large stuff on small people etc). IN THE WATER
Our PADI Instructors & Divemasters are the cornerstones to a great underwater adventure. They have more training, certifications, degrees than any other group of instructors, as well as being hired to teach at Rick's Dive 'N Travel Center for their integrity & professionalism. Teaching people to Scuba Dive is their profession, not just a summer job. They are all certified PADI Instructors, First Aid & CPR licensed and hold a multitude of various diving certifications such as, Underwater Navigation, Deep Diver, Night Diver, Underwater Photographers, Equipment Specialist, Oxygen Provider, Nitrox, Gas Blender, just to name a few.
