Becoming
a certified diver at Rick's is easier than you may think and only takes a
few steps. Our diver program allows an easy progression into what could
most definitely become the greatest experience of your life. No joke!
Step 1:
Don't let the words "classroom" scare you. Classroom activities
are informative and can
easily be completed in one weekend if you desire and our Power
Point presentation will help develop the knowledge for you to understand diving safety. Being voted as one of the top 10
Dive Centers in the U.S. assures you of a positive experience at Ricks. By the end of these
few sessions, the excitement of "diving in" will lead you to
the next phase.
Step 2:
In simple words, this part of your introduction to Scuba Diving is
awesome. Our onsite deep indoor heated pool is your first step in the
familiarity and "hands on" experience with scuba equipment. During the
pool session, (which can also be completed in one day if you desire),
you and your instructor will practice and develop the water skills
needed to comfortably and safely allow you to enjoy scuba diving for
many years to come. You will be amazed at how easy and safe scuba
diving actually is. Now! As if that's not exciting enough. just
wait...........
Step 3:
This is where you see and do things you've only dreamed about. Like the
weightlessness of outer space, this may be the greatest sensation you
can share with others. You and your instructor will cover the skills you
developed in the pool session during each of these four open water fun
dives. This phase is generally completed in two days. After
successful completion of the last open water dive, you will be awarded
your certification card which is good for a lifetime of fun, and
enjoyment. This card is recognized world wide as a certification that
you are a safe and properly trained scuba diver.
