Master Scuba Diver Program Continued
REBREATHER DIVING
If you think ONLY military combat divers use Rebreathers...that's not true anymore. Our newest specialty course will give you a better understanding of enriched air and how this mixture is used in a Rebreather. This revolutionary trend in diving allows a diver not only more extended bottom time, but also the ability to get very close to various forms of marine life without spooking them, because you don't emit bubbles as done in conventional SCUBA equipment. How would you like to have a two hour bottom time on a 30 cu. ft. cylinder? That may be possible with a rebreather. This course is a prerequisite for those interested in owning a rebreather and part of our training for those who purchase one.
Come experience one of the quietest experiences you may ever have in Rick's Rebreather Course.

PEAK PERFORMANCE BUOYANCY
Do your have good buoyancy skills? Most divers need many dives to feel totally comfortable with their buoyancy skills. You don't use buoyancy sometime, you should be using proper buoyancy skill every time you dive. Our course is limited to only 4 to 6 divers so we can work closely with each person to develop the Instructor quality skills necessary to enjoy "peak performance buoyancy. A classroom session and two hour fun pool exercise will have you gliding over coral reefs like the pros. Use less air, extend the life of your equipment and just enjoy diving more with these new found skills while working on your Master Scuba Diver Certification. Classes begin on a regular basis and taught in our indoor heated pool with two open water dives, done locally or while on your dive vacation. This is also a great way to complete a refresher course.

*Wreck penetration-training dives are
limited to within the light zone and within 40 meters/130 feet from
the surface, vertical and horizontal distance included. If the wreck
used for training is located in deep water (over 18 meters/60 feet),
the Deep Diver rating is recommended as a prerequisite for the Wreck
Diver program.
CAVERN DIVER
For most divers the thought of cave diving is mystifying and intriguing and definitely taboo for those without the proper training or experience. Our Cavern course is the first step in learning more about Cavern exploration. This is also the first step in "Intro to Cave Diving", and full Cave Certification. Understanding about safety lines, air limits, special equipment, the buddy system, lighting and safety are just a few of the topics covered in this specialty. Open Water training is usually conducted in one of the Florida Springs which we frequent on a regular basis. For some of the clearest water in the world and an experience most will only dream about, join one of our PADI Instructors for this exciting course.
FRESH WATER REEFBUILDER "A PADI Distinctive Specialty"
Arkansas is the only State except of Alaska that allows the taking of game fish. The spearfishing enthusiast understands the local laws and encourages others to respect the privilege we have in Arkansas. To be successful in underwater hunting, like our counterparts that fish, we learn about fish habits, type of food they like, where they hide and how to find them in our Freshwater Reef Builder Course. We build and sink several types of fish habitats around the lake for the various types of game fish known to Arkansas. You will also pickup information on mapping and navigational skills that will enhance your success in this Specialty. If you are a avid spearfisherman, don't miss this exciting specialty that is offered on a limited basis.
PADI MEDIC FIRST AID
While this course is not a PADI specialty rating, it is part of the qualification for the
PADI Rescue Diver Certification. Our Medic First Aid Course is a basic training course in CPR and emergency care. It is a medically based course, that it is designed to train students to follow, at a layperson's level, the same emergency procedures and priorities used by paramedics and doctors. These techniques provide the patient with a continuity of care as they are passed from the first person on the scene to the paramedics and finally on to the emergency room doctors. Some of the material covered is, assessment, CPR, obstructed airway, control of bleeding, shock management, injury and illness assessment. This certification is valid for a period of two years and meets the qualifications for completion of your Rescue Diver Certification.
SeaSigns
Have
you ever wished that you could more easily communicate with your dive
buddy? Have you ever wanted to ask the direction back to the boat or
tell your buddy you were tired and wanted to rest? Perhaps you needed
to tell them that they had a small air leak in the regulator hose, or
maybe that your tank strap was loose and you wanted them to tighten
it? Well now you can easily communicate all these things and much,
much more!!
This course will provide SCUBA divers of all skill levels with an
easy-to-learn and easy-to-use way to communicate under water. Better
communications means more underwater fun and more safety.
"SeaSigns" method is based on American Sign Language (ASL), a widely
used sign language, and follows generally accepted diving protocol.
This course has been approved as a Distinctive Specialty by PADI, SSI,
NAUI, YMCA, and SDI.
"SeaSigns" is also recommended by the Handicapped Scuba Association (HSA).
Our first classes will be taught by PADI Instructor Dennis Barber who
is a certified "SeaSigns Instructor Trainer". The class will have two
sessions of approximately 3.5 hours each, and will include Pool work
in the second session.
