Traveler's ChecklistThe best advice for preparing for your dive vacation is to pack light. The old saying, "take half the clothes and twice the money" may still be true at some destinations. Most dive vacations are in the tropics where dress is usually casual and informal. Most airlines have weight and size limitations, particularly small inter-island carriers. If you are staying on a "Live-aboard" dive boat, you may want to consider packing in a duffel or similar type luggage, as storage space is often limited. We usually encourage a two bag combination, the main wheelie (a life saver) as the bag to transport and protect your gear to the islands, and upon arrival to your condo, room, etc., remove your equipment from the travel bag and place in a back pack style mesh or duffel mesh bag. This really saves on wear and tear, diesel fuel, salt spray etc. on your nice wheelie bag. Check with one of our trip instructors for specific questions or helpful suggestions. Learn more...
