WARRANTY & SERVICE REMINDER

The dive season is just around the corner and will be here before you know it. With this in mind, our Tech crew Mike, Tom & Dennis wanted to give you an overview on the annual servicing process of your equipment and specifically your regulator which is more than just a simple clean & adjust procedure.

Of course, if your dive equipment is under the U.S. warranty, this is a must to maintain the warranty. A special notice: If you are a diver who dives over 40 or 50 dives a year……chances are…. YOU may need to consider having your equipment serviced more than once a year!

Our 21 Point Service performed on your Regulator in our Service Department

1.

We visually inspect your regulator upon receipt
2. We "bench test" you regulator system prior to servicing for any indication of specific service needs
3. We will then contact you if we expect additional service costs
4. We disassemble the first stage of the regulator
5. We clean all metal parts in an ultra-sonic bath
6. We wash and treat all plastic, rubber, and silicone parts
7. We inspect and replace any worn or damaged parts
8. We replace all O-rings and filters
9. We disassemble your second stage(s)
10. We clean all metal parts in an ultra-sonic bath

18. We assemble the entire system and cycle it through its operating sequence, a minimum of three times
19. We "bench test" your regulator system adjusting both the 1st stage intermediate pressure and the 2nd stage cracking pressure
20. We then submerge your regulator fully pressurized for 15 minutes to confirm that there are no leaks and to ensure valves are properly seated
21. We document the bench test results, complete warranty paperwork if applicable, and package your gear for pick up including all replaced parts

ALL THIS FOR AROUND $60 BUCKS*!
*(not including parts unless covered if your equipment is under a U.S. Warranty program) This should be done each year prior to the diving season, before a dive trip to the islands or anytime you are experiencing problems with your equipment!
