Rick's Dive 'N Travel Center is a Factory Authorized Warranty Service Center for all of the dive equipment manufacturers that we represent.  Our Repair Technicians are also factory trained and highly skilled in repairing and servicing diving equipment. Rick's criteria for servicing life support equipment are the highest standards in the diving industry bar none.  We use only manufacturer's recommended service repair kits and factory parts for all service items. This results in a "like new" performance and reliability after each annual service is completed.  CLICK HERE TO SEE OUR 21 POINT REGULATOR SERVICE FORM. Rick also warrants all new manufacturer's parts for one year and 90-day guarantee on labor.  Bottom line, if you have a problem, Rick's Techs will gladly give you a quote for the service of your equipment and will notify you prior to service of anything out of the ordinary that may be found during our diagnosis. Many of our former customers who have moved from Arkansas, still send their dive equipment back to us to be serviced because of our service reliability and trust that we've established with them over the last 31 years.

Scuba Regulator Notice

______________________________

Use and Maintenance Caution----- A scuba regulator is a sophisticated piece of equipment that supports life underwater. A regulator should never be used by anyone who has not completed a scuba course from a qualified instructor, or who is not under close supervision from a qualified instructor. Physical injury and fatalities have occurred in cases involving inexperienced divers using scuba equipment.

Do not disassemble your regulator yourself. Only qualified repairmen with proper tools and knowledge should perform essential repairs and overhauls on scuba regulators. Also, make sure your regulator is serviced regularly by a professional qualified diver service tech who is familiar with your particular type of regulator assembly. Your regulator should be serviced at least once a year by a certified diving professional technician, and more frequently if heavily used. Any amount over 50 dives would be considered "Heavily Use" during a year.  Nothing is wrong with this, however some divers (instructors/Divemasters )etc. should have their regulator serviced more than once a year in this case.

Notice: Remember to bring your warranty cards and/or proof of purchase receipts along with past service history documentation if your regulator is being serviced under the manufacturers "warranty" program. For specific information about each manufacturers warranty, use the link below

Our service department is managed by Mike Gordon, who has one goal in mind -

"To Provide Our Customers With First Class Service"

To achieve and maintain that goal:

We utilize the best and latest diagnostic system in the industry.
Our technicians maintain current manuals and attend regular manufacturers continued education courses.
We use state-of-the-art Ultra sonic cleaning and testing equipment.
Our "scuba air" is tested on a quarterly basis to insure that it exceeds the requirements for CGA grade "E" breathing air. While all dive stores may not be able afford to have this independent inspection performed, we feel like those who are filling scuba cylinders can't afford NOT to have this done, which again separates Rick's from most other dive centers
__________________________________________________________________________
Rick's air has always tested better than the IANTD specifications for Oxygen compatible air. After all, we use the same air you do!  We Do Care!
Our service center is a clean and professional source of pride to all of us here at Rick's.

As previously mentioned, Mike Gordon is a retired Air Force C130 Crew Chief who knows the meaning of maintaining safe and reliable equipment, PERIOD!  Becoming a PADI Master Scuba Diver in 1993 along with various Dive Tech Schools, has offered Mike the opportunity and understanding of how diving equipment should be serviced and maintained.  Since many of the dive equipment products that we sell and service have a valid warranty (some lifetime) we are vigilant about assisting you with any warranty issues that may come up. Our Tech department is also assisted by PADI Ryan Carroll. Each of our Techs are dedicated in keeping our service department running smoothly and professional and in a timely manner. We service most brands of diving equipment at reasonable rates.  If you have a problem or question about any of your diving equipment or it is time for your annual service

Special Notice on Scuba Tanks:
Most small Dive Centers don't have the tools or knowledge that Rick's Dive 'N Travel Center utilizes the latest "Visual Plus Eddy Current" technology to check for neck cracks in aluminum cylinders. This method enables us to detect unnoticed cracks and imperfections that cannot be seen with the naked eye. Because we have found numerous old & some NEW cylinders with cracks, that would not have been seen with the typical "Visual Inspection", Rick's now require that ANY scuba cylinder brought to us for a fill, must have the
Visual Plus inspection or equivalent sticker present on the cylinder. Remember,  This is for your protection and the safety of our staff. We are talking about 3000 PSI - just respect & take care of your diving equipment!

While these are just a few of our more common services we provide, Rick's has a variety of other services available. If you have any questions or need more information, don't hesitate to give us a call. In certain cases we may ask for a initial deposit to proceed with the service.  This usually happens if someone brings in extremely "old" equipment to be serviced.  In all honesty, sometime the equipment just isn't worth the pending charges!  Ask our Tech for a quote if you have any doubt!
